BactiVax Budapest Event - Wednesday 13th of September, 2-4 PM - ’Gender Equality in science’,

In the framework of the final meeting of the BactiVax (Anti-Bacterial Innovative Vaccines) European Training Network, we are organising a panel discussion on ’Gender Equality in science’, that will be held on Wednesday 13th of September, 2-4 PM at the Research Centre for Natural Sciences (1117 Budapest, Magyar tudósok krt. 2).

Our idea is to create an open discussion on what is needed in the academic and industrial fields in order to close the gender gap. We believe that creating an interesting panel and a dedicated space for questions and suggestions can help young researchers and students feel more confident in pursuing a career in science.

First, there will be a presentation given by Dr. Bálint Hartmann, the representative of the Hungarian Young Academy, entitled “Inequalities among Early Career Researchers in Europe.”
Then we plan a round table discussion between the panelists and the audience.

We hope this round table allows the initiation of a healthy and productive discussion as well as a space for young students to interact with established researchers.

The session will be available online:
