BactiVax Mid-Term Review Meeting on 22nd January 2021

Check out the Mid-Term Review meeting agenda here.

On 22nd January 2021, the entire BactiVax consortium met virtually with the EU Project Officer, Dr. Sara Garcia-Condado from the Research Executive Agency, for the project mid-term review (MTR). The purpose of the MTR was to evaluate the fulfillment of the recruitment process and the eligibility of the early stage researchers (ESRs), and to ensure that the training programme is progressing well.

Although significantly delayed by the pandemic, the recruitment of BactiVax ESRs had been completed in advance of the meeting, and all ESRs were in attendance. The event kicked off with a presentation from Dr. Garcia-Condado, who discussed the rights and obligations of consortium members, and gave the team useful tips on resources for the efficient management of the action. Next, the BactiVax Coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Siobhán McClean, gave an overview of the project’s progress to date, and each ESRs had the opportunity to present their research project and expertise.

In the afternoon, the EU Project Officer met separately with the ESRs and the consortium (including partner representatives) in restricted meetings. The day-long event concluded with an open table discussion during which Dr. Garcia-Condado commented on the excellent progress of the action to date, and offered constructive feedback that will further support the effective management of BactiVax.
