Dr. Kata Horváti is Research Assistant Professor at the MTA-ELTE Research Group of Peptide Chemistry. The group has been established by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) and is located at the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) in Budapest, Hungary. The group focuses on the synthesis of peptide-based drug delivery systems and diagnostics, and their structural and functional characterization. 

Dr. Horváti’s current research interests include peptide-based vaccines and therapeutics, immunology of infectious diseases with a focus on tuberculosis.

Dr. Horváti studied chemistry at ELTE and obtained her MSc with a specialization in pharmaceutical chemistry. Her PhD research focused on the diagnosis and treatment of Mycobcterium tuberculosis infection (PhD in chemistry, 2009, Eötvös Loránd University).
