Prof. Mahavir Singh
Prof. Mahavir Singh is the Founding Director of LIONEX Diagnostics & Therapeutics GmbH, based in Braunschweig, and Affiliated Professor of Genetics at the Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany.
LIONEX is a German biotech company active in the fields of biomedicine and human health with special emphasis on tuberculosis.
Previously, Prof. Singh was Principal Investigator and permanent staff member (Senior Scientist) at the Helmholtz Zentrum für Infektionsforschung GmbH. His expertise includes the production of recombinant antigens/antibodies and high-quality vaccine candidates against mycobacterial diseases, as well as the development of cost-effective and high-quality diagnostics platforms.
Prof. Singh has over 160 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and has supervised 10 doctoral and 20 undergraduate students.
He has acted as Principal Investigator and Coordinator of a number of research projects funded by the European Union, Gates Foundation, WHO, German Ministry of Science and Technology.
